I’ve assembled my PiDog. The Raspberry Pi was configured beforehand - and I was successfully connected to the Pi through much of the assembly process. My connection is from my MacBook using Tiger VNC (since the Raspberry Pi Connect app is a bit flakey and slow to connect).

However, since powering down the Raspberry Pi and connecting the head assembly including the camera - my Raspberry Pi is no longer accessible via SSH, Tiger VNC or Pi Connect. The IP address used by the PiDog isn’t visible on my network. All the lights look okay.

Checking with Google Gemini it talks about known power issues on startup but I’m unsure how reliable that advice is. Can anyone confirm if there are known issues? Unfortunately I don;'t have a USB keyboard/mouse or screen to look at the Raspberry Pi directly.

Any advice?

Cheers

Please take a photo of the PiDog after powering it on — we need to clearly see the indicator LEDs and the wiring on the Robot HAT.
Please try removing the Robot HAT and powering the Raspberry Pi directly, to run a bare-board test and see whether the Pi boots normally.
Once done, please send us the photo and the result of the bare-board test so we can continue troubleshooting.

Thank you again for your patience and cooperation!

All good now. I had to go out and buy a keyboard/mouse, and plug the HDMI into my TV.
Problem was simply that the Pi was no longer connecting to my home Wi-Fi. Once I re-connected and re-entered the password it was all fine.

I have no idea why it lost the settings that it had been using the other day. At least I have the keyboard/mouse now enabling me to connect directly if it ever happens again.

Cheers
