I just got started using the Raspberry Pi Pico kit and am going through the tutorials, specifically the tutorial on the centrifugal pump.

As stated in the note section ([3.6 Pumping — SunFounder Euler Kit for Raspberry Pi Pico 1.0 documentation](https://docs.sunfounder.com/projects/euler-kit/en/latest/pyproject/py_pump.html)), if the pump is still running after clicking the Stop button, I need to rest the Pico by connecting RUN to ground. Is there a better way to stop the pump from running? I feel that if I have to constantly reset the Pico, it would eventually damage it. (Note: This is also an issue in [3.5 Small Fan — SunFounder Euler Kit for Raspberry Pi Pico 1.0 documentation](https://docs.sunfounder.com/projects/euler-kit/en/latest/pyproject/py_motor.html) tutorial)

Also, I connected the relay, provided in the kit, to control the pump but, I am still getting that issue with the pump still running even after the Stop button is pressed.
Any assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

This is currently the only available method
**If the motor keeps running after pressing “Stop”:**

1. Use a wire to briefly connect the **RUN** pin to **GND** (reset)
2. Remove the wire to restart the codde

Ok, understood.
Thank you!
