# RGB Fan problems ubuntu server

Hi,
I use the Pyronman raspberry 5 case as a media center, so I don’t need a light-show. The pulsating RGB fans are annoying in a dark room. No matter what I try - cannot switch them off.

Currently, the RGB fan on the Pironman 5 does not support independent control of the RGB lights. The RGB and the fan will operate together as a single unit. However, we are planning to release a new version of the Pironman 5 that will allow for separate control of the fan and RGB lights in the future.

Maybe I should roll back to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. I have another machine running and everything is working fine there…

That’s correct. Please refer to our tutorial here:[3. Installing the Operating System — SunFounder Pironman 5 documentation](https://docs.sunfounder.com/projects/pironman5/en/latest/install/install_the_os.html)
However, we will later verify and analyze any issues related to new system versions. For now, I recommend using the system versions introduced in the tutorial.
