Hello, no matter what I try, including offsetting the angle to straighten the wheels, the picar continues to go slightly left or right, slightly swaying back and fourth as it moves. It is unable to move in a straight line, and I’m unsure what the hardware issue is. I swapped the wheels and it still happens on the front left–the wheel wiggles side to side while the car moves. Any help would be appreciated.
The PiCar-X does exhibit this behavior. Since the car’s forward movement relies on the coordination between servo steering and motor drive, and is also affected by external factors such as ground friction, it is difficult to guarantee perfectly straight travel in practice. If more stable straight‑line control is required, it is usually necessary to add a 9‑axis IMU sensor and combine it with a PID algorithm for closed‑loop control to perform dynamic corrections.
