I'm new to this and don't know if I did something wrong

I’m new to the whole Raspberry pi stuff and when I got mine with the pironman5 case I put it together as the manual said to but my Io hat+ (I believe that’s what it’s called) doesn’t seem to be working and the fans and OLED display don’t turn on or work can someone please help?

Did you install the Pironman 5 software?

  1. Please check whether the GPIO 6 and GPIO 10 pins on the IO expansion board are connected with a jumper cap (shorting block). (As shown in the figure)

  2. Did you follow the steps in the online tutorial to install the Pironman5 software?
    https://docs.sunfounder.com/projects/pironman5/en/latest/pironman5/set_up/set_up_rpi_os.html#downloading-and-installing-the-pironman5-module

You probably did everything fine. I had the same problem with the Pironman 5 Max case. SunFounder said they would send me a new I/O board and then I never heard anything from them. I finally ended up buying a much cheaper case and wrote off the Pironman as a bad investment. With so many people having this same issue, there are some obvious problems with quality control.

Sorry we haven’t received any emails—only your link on the forum. We have just sent you an email; please check your inbox for it. We will arrange to send you the replacement part.

My email messages to both “service@sunfounder.com” and “support@sunfounder.com” were rejected as spam, no matter how simple the message. Your email system is clearly not suitable for handling any kind of customer support.

For anyone following this thread: I wasn’t able to complete the replacement process because SunFounder’s mail server rejected all emails to both service@ and support@ addresses. I ultimately replaced the case with a different vendor. Posting this here in case it helps others decide how to proceed.
