Pidog 2 Assembly issue with FPC / FFC strips

Hi all,

This is my first time building anything electronic, and I followed the assembly sheet / multiple YouTube videos for guidance.

i thought I did quite well until I finished and realised the assembly sheet never mentioned where the other ends of the orange and blue/white strips attach to.

I attached one side of the blue strip to the camera and one side of the orange strip to the Raspberry Pi board as per the guide. However, I cannot figure out where the other ends go. I looked on the Raspberry pi 5 board as there are 1/2 strip locks but they’re too small to fit the other ends for either the blue or orange strip.

Please let me know where these go or if I need to start all over again!

Thank you

Update: I think I understand where I was being stupid.

In the assembly guide, it says to use the orange FPC cable for Raspberry Pi 5 in step one.

Later on for the camera assembly it says to attach FPC/FFC cable (depending on model I assume) and I think I took thisto believe I needed a second cable than to attach the original one from step one to the camera…

Please correct me if I’m wrong though.

Correct.
We have FFC (white) and yellow-brown FPC cables. The white FFC cable is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 4/3, while the yellow-brown FPC cable is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5/Zero.
The connection of the FPC/FFC ribbon cable depends on the model of your Raspberry Pi.
