PiPower5 Boot issue

I have just set up my new PiPower 5, but when I try to charge it using the official pi 5 power supply using the PiPower 5’s usb C port, the pwr led on both the pi an the pipower5 flash, the charging indicator does not light up and the pi does not boot. Is this my problem or could the board be defective?

Thank you for your message, and we’re sorry to hear that your PiPower 5 is not working as expected.
To help us diagnose the issue, could you please record a short video showing the following:
The moment you plug in the USB‑C power supply (the official Raspberry Pi 5 power supply).
Please upload the video to a cloud service (such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox), share the link with us, and make sure to grant us access permissions.
This will help us determine whether the issue is with the PiPower 5 board, the battery, or the power supply.
If the product is indeed faulty, we will arrange a replacement for you.
