We will do the update plugin according to the system update version.
However, there is no official release of the 12.4 version of the system that is compatible with PI5.
The 12.4 version of the system is compatible with PI4, so you should use the 12.3 version of the system first.

I did a new install with 12.3 (i was in dev before cause of esp32-c6). both addons were installed. everything runs fine. when i do a restart your webview has the same zram error as in dev version 12.4.

but luckyly the webview is not needed to activate the both back fans. i have overridden it with a line in config.txt :

dtoverlay=gpio-shutdown,gpio_pin=6,active_low=1,gpio_pull=up

… the cpu fan can be controlled with:

the webview for hassio is not really needed in my eyes. we do our own systemdashboards on hassio easyly to monitor stats.
a nice thing to have would be: after intall of your addon - hassio must autodetect the entities of pironman 5: a binary on/off switch for the backfans ; a slider for the cpu fan speed; a binary switch for the io board leds and maybe the led effects a dropdown menu. that would be nice. to controll everything from your extra page is not very comfortable.

btw: you need to update your pironman 5 kit or at least the tutorial: the transparent protection plastic does not fit between io board and the cpu cooler. just leave it away.

We are in the process of reproducing the problem you encountered.
It takes time to solve it.
The acrylic board fixed on the IO expansion board is to isolate the exposed GPIO pins of the IO expansion board to prevent contact with the heatsink metal sheet, which will lead to a short circuit. If you want to remove the acrylic board, we recommend you to put tape to isolate the exposed GPIO pins of the IO expansion board, to avoid the heatsink metal sheet directly contacting with the exposed GPIO pins, resulting in a short circuit.

The intention of the acrylic top board was clear to me before.
I just informed you, like other users did, that you have sold a product
with a design error. Using the top board will damage the cpu cooler or maybe
the pi itself. i didnt want to test it. The good thing is: that the black platstic around
the gpio pins will perfectly match as 1mm standoff. In my case it lays perfectly on
the end of the cpu fan. No shortcuts since I build the pironman5 case. So I guess
your protection tape workaround is not needed.

Hopefully you can find a solution that you addon will fetch the data bypassing this false zram error.

I’ve tried your update (and a complete reinstall of the pironman5 addon) but the webview is still not able to fetch the data. the z-ram error seems to be solved… but it might not be the origin of the error.

i can identify the problem more closer: when i use my homeassistant with external nabucasa url fetching doesnt work. with homeassistant.local the fetching works correctly.
maybe a webhook is needed?

another bug of the addon: when i activate the dark theme and save. i see the notification: “Save succesful” . When i close the dashboard and came back its switched back to light mode.

  1. At the moment it is not possible to use nabucasa URL to remotely control the pironman5 plugin in Home Assistant.
    We haven’t found a good solution for this now.
  2. When you activate the dark theme and save it, you see the notification: ‘Saved successfully’. When you close the dashboard and return, it switches back to light colour mode. We are fixing this issue now and will let you know as soon as possible.

I am seeing the same Request Error: Type error: Failed to fetch message when I attempt to view the dashboard in HassOS.

I can see the dashboard locally using the local homeassistant:34001/ URL. You mentioned above that it is not possible to use a nabucasa URL to remotely control the pironman5 plugin in Home Assistant. I am using a DuckDNS.org URL to access my system remotely. Does the same issue exist with DuckDNS URLs? If so, is there a plan to resolve this?

The remote connection issue you mentioned, we solved it.
You can try to verify our beta version of the pironman5 component.
You remove the existing component repository URLL: GitHub - sunfounder/home-assistant-addon and uninstall the existing pironman5 component.
Add our beta component repository URLL: GitHub - sunfounder/home-assistant-addon and install the pironman5 component, then use the DuckDNS.org URL to access it remotely and see if it works.
