Raspberry Pi HAT does not work with continous rotation servo motor (Towerpro MG995)

Hello, I am Barima from Ghana. I recently purchased Sunfounder’s Robot HAT which I happily recieved it. I was glad until I noticed it does not work with my servo motors (MG995) I have at home. The HAT is great. It can control other positional servos (180) very well with precision but not my continuous rotation servo (360). Please Help Me!!!

We suggest that you record a video for us, as it will help us analyze and resolve the issue.

Is your MG995 servo functioning properly? Under normal circumstances, the robot hat should be able to control the MG995 servo.

Please can I use another speaker instead of the one that comes with the Fusion HAT+, The sound provided by the Fusion HAT+ will not be enough for me. I want to use a little louder one. Maybe one from a laptop

We do not recommend replacing your laptop’s built-in speakers.

The speakers we use are 8Ω 2W 2030 models. If you need to replace them, we recommend using speakers with matching specifications.

If the speaker volume is low, we suggest first using the alsamixer command to check and adjust the volume:

Up/Down Arrow Keys: Adjust the Master volume.

Left/Right Arrow Keys: Switch between audio channels (e.g., Headphone, Speaker).

M Key: Mute or unmute the selected channel. Muted channels are marked with MM (not 00).

Esc Key: Exit alsamixer.

Try this to see if the volume improves.
