Hi, I ran my picar x for a while one time, and since then then it hasn’t been able to charge. Meaning, as I plug it in the red charging light comes on and never turns off even if i charge it for multiple days. Also, if I try to drive it, it will work for a couple minutes and then the wheels turn in opposite directions. What happened and how can I fix it. Thanks
Just a thought. If your battery has discharged beyond a certain point, it may be possible that your usb charger may not be able to supply sufficient charge current. Are you using the official rpi charger? Have you tried a different charger?
Good thought. I am using the one that came with it. I can try a higher current charger too.
Please contact service@sunfounder.com and provide your order details and address to get a battery.
I tried the replacement battery that you sent but it didn’t fix the problem. It still doesn’t work.
Could you use a multimeter to measure the total voltage of the battery?
With the device powered off, connect a Type-C power source to charge the battery for 2 hours, then measure the battery voltage again.
While charging, please observe the indicator light: is the red light steadily on or blinking? If it’s blinking, it indicates an issue with battery charging—meaning the battery is not charging properly.
Compare the battery voltage measured before and after charging.
Take a photo of the charger you are using (the power rating should be indicated on it).
