Hi,
I love the look of Pironman5 and I’m thinking to buy Pironman5 for Raspberry Pi5, but on the other hand I want to develop and run some codes of imaging on Pi5 .
At frist by using USB cameras and final target will be MIPI CSI cameras, so I wonder I can connect MIPI cameras to Pironman5
through MIPI connectors ?
Of course enclosure seems having no dedicated slit or holes for MIPI, I guess if long MIPI cables (I’m not sure how long I can extend) could be wired through NVMe card and GPIO slit.
Does anyone see there’s any possibility if the MIPI cable can able to pass through these parts ?
Or do I have to drill the clear panel and pass the MIPI cables ?
Thanks,
The current version of the Pironman5 shell does not have a slot for the camera cable.
We are currently working on an upgraded version that will include a slot for the camera cable. As it stands, the current version of the Pironman5 does not have any openings for the cable to pass through the shell, so we do not recommend using a MIPI camera with this version.
Thank you for the advice.
I’ll wait the upgraded version of Pironman5 and I’m looking forward to hear news of releasing upgraded version.
Or should I bought current version and add upgraded one too
Thanks,
If you need to use a camera, we recommend waiting for the upgraded version of the Pironman5. The current version does not have the necessary slots for camera ribbon cables.
