Hello everyone! I’m new to Raspberry Pis and Pironman 5 but i’ve been loving it. I decided today that I would like to change my operating system however and came across some challenges.
After creating a bootable drive with the OS I would like to install (Kali) I received an error when trying to get it onto my Pironman.
“default.target is not inactive. Please review the default.target setting. Fallback to the single-user shell. Press enter for maintenance. /usr/sbin/sulogin/terminated by signal SEGV.” is the error I received. I tried to install Ubuntu before this to give it a try and the same error occurred. I followed some tips online in order to fix this but nothing worked.
I have an NVME drive in my Pironman 5 and have tried using an SD card to install the operating system but it has not been working as I mentioned. I’ve also tried using a flash drive instead but it boots normally because it is not prioritizing the usb. I took steps to make the Pironman boot with usb but nothing I did worked. After doing research I edited raspi-config but there was no option to prioritize usb only sd then nvme THEN usb. I found some information that said it would force the device to prioritize usb but after entering the code into the terminal nothing changed unfortunately, still boots with NVME as priority.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Also, is there a script that I can use to edit the little display on the device? I was curious if I could have it display something else like a small picture, gif, etc.
Thank you very much!
