EZBlock with RPI 5 and Picar

Hello,

I’m about to build a Picar-X. I read somewhere that EZBlock isn’t compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5, which is what I will use. Is that correct? If so, can I use Scratch to program/run the car? If I can, where might I find the documentation for that? Thanks so much.

We are very sorry, it is not possible to use Scratch to program picar-x products, we don’t do that project.
If you want Ezblock to work with Raspberry Pi 5, you can download and install our 2.0.2 Beta ezblock OS image, which is compatible with PI5, you can verify it and try it.

Do I need a cooling fan attached with Rpi5 if I use this EZblock version?

You should remove it from your website then! I bought it specifically for my nephew to do Scratch to help with his Scratch class. It is false advertisement. He was VERY disappointed that we spent 2 hours putting it together to find that your website was lying.

You cannot use Scratch to program the picar-x product; we have not developed that project. If you want Ezblock to work with Raspberry Pi 5, you can download and install our 2.0.2 Beta version of the ezblock OS image, which is compatible with PI5. You can go and verify it."
