New Pironman 5 Max build issue with PWM Tower Cooler Fan

Hello,

I have assembled a new Prionman 5 Max with an a rpi 5 /16 GB. Plus two M2 SSDs. Almost everything works. OLED OK, the fan control of the case fans OK, RGB OK, the M2 SSDs are running, but the fan of the tower cooler is not. When the rpi is connected to the power supply, this fan starts running for some seconds. I think this is okay.

The only option is the command:

pi@pironman:~ $ pinctrl FAN_PWM op dl

Then it starts running. I can also stop it.

But nothing works automatically. Even at 70°C, it won’t start.

I have installed all updates.

Any hind?

The PWM fan is controlled by the rpi5, not by pironman5. If you want to control it, you can add some commands into /boot/firmware/config.txt. Pironman5 CPU Fan - #11 by SunFounder_Moderator

Hello, thank you very much. That worked. However, there was still an error with the fan speed. But that was my mistake. I had bent a PIN. Now everything is running perfectly. I can also say that Crucial P3 500 GB and Crucial P310 2TB are running in parallel.

Best regards,
