Parrot OS 7.0 Isn't working for my pironman5 device

Hello everyone,

Currently dealing with an issue regarding Parrot OS not working anymore on my Pi 5. It started yeserday on my Old Parrot Version 6.4? I couldnt connect to wifi anymore. Couldn’t update. So, I upgraded to parrot 7.0. Everything loaded nicely until i went to install my the pironman 5 NON MAX

software on my pi. I noticed when I switched my raspi-config shutdown behavior to B1 and reboot, it would make my wifi not work anymore (which made complete sense why my 6.4 version didn’t work anymore). Tried switching backn to B2 option and installling the software explained on the site

git clone -b base GitHub - sunfounder/pironman5: Code for Raspberry Pi 5 case (Pironman5) --depth 1
cd ~/pironman5
sudo python3 install.py
Cloning into ‘pironman5’…
fatal: unable to access ‘ GitHub - sunfounder/pironman5: Code for Raspberry Pi 5 case (Pironman5) ’: Failed to connect to github.com port 443 after 133315 ms: Could not connect to server
bash: cd: /home/pi/pironman5: No such file or directory
python3: can’t open file ‘/home/pi/install.py’: [Errno 2] No such file or directory

I really hope you guys can catch up with debian, because Parrot worked 100% better than Kali in my opinion. I want to regarrd that I am not using the Pironman 5 MAX but the silver one. And yes, I did make sure I followed the silver pironman 5’s instructions. And yes, I did update and reboot before installing sunfounders software. Any help will do with this case. I really want this to work again. I really don’t want to go back to Kali or RaspiOs….

Thank you for sharing the details of the issue you encountered, and we understand your preference for Parrot OS — indeed, it is more user‑friendly in many scenarios than Kali. Hardware‑system incompatibility can be truly frustrating!

However, we currently do not have a plan for Parrot OS compatibility. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

You mentioned using the silver non‑MAX version of Pironman 5, and selecting the base branch is entirely correct (the MAX version requires the max branch). Additionally, your steps of updating the system beforehand and rebooting the device are very well‑executed, effectively ruling out any basic operational errors.

Update: After couple hours of digging. I found that the reason my wifi was shutting off was because; for some reason raspberry Pis dont like 6gh with WPA3, I had to configure my network to WPA/WPA2 2.4/5ghz to my Pi. I was able to actually get the connection fully back up. Get the pironman non max successfully to run the new parrot OS 7.0 Debian 13 that was released not even a few weeks ago. Everything works. And works pretty stable. The only concerns I had were CPU spikes but I think over time as the OS loads in, this will alleviate but I’m not sure if this OS is not yet on your list. But thanks for the help. I’m sorry for the delay with the response

We are very glad to hear that your project was a success!

However, we currently have not included Parrot OS 7.0 in our list of compatible systems, as we have not yet verified compatibility with this specific operating system.
