I created a local Home Assistant custom integration for the SunFounder Pironman 5 and Pironman 5 Max.
The integration communicates directly with the local Pironman REST API — no MQTT broker, cloud service or additional software is required.

The project is especially intended for local Home Assistant setups, including Home Assistant Container installations.

The complete integration, installation instructions and documentation are available here:
I am also currently working on getting the integration into the official HACS default repository, so it will hopefully become available directly through HACS for an even easier installation.
Feedback, suggestions and contributions are very welcome!
Thanks to SunFounder for creating the Pironman platform and for making the local API available to work with.
Thank you very much for writing to us again, and for taking the time to develop and share this local Home Assistant custom integration for the Pironman 5 and Pironman 5 Max. We truly appreciate your contribution to the SunFounder community.
We have read your post carefully and have a good understanding of the overall approach behind this project. Honestly, this is excellent work — the feature coverage is comprehensive, the structure is clear, and it communicates directly with the local REST API with no MQTT or cloud service required, which is exactly the kind of local-first experience we hope our users can have. It is especially worth highlighting that you have targeted the Home Assistant Container scenario: our official installation method only applies to systems with Home Assistant installed natively, and does not apply to Raspberry Pi systems with Home Assistant installed on top or to Docker versions of Home Assistant. Your integration fills exactly this gap, which is very valuable for users who deploy Home Assistant in a container, and we welcome and appreciate it.
Regarding the official HACS default repository: that review is handled by the HACS maintainers. We will pass your suggestions and needs on to our R&D team to evaluate how we can follow up and support this.
Thank you again for your enthusiasm and effort, and please feel free to keep submitting and iterating on this project via GitHub. If you would like us to follow up further, just let us know what you would most like us to feed back or evaluate, and we will do our best to relay it to our R&D team. We look forward to seeing this project grow!
I’m really glad to hear that the integration is useful for the Home Assistant Container use case and that the local-first approach fits well with your approach.
I really appreciate you passing this on to your R&D team.
I’m happy to continue testing new API features or changes on my Pironman 5 Max and provide feedback from the Home Assistant Container perspective. If there are additional API capabilities you’d like me to evaluate or test, I’d be happy to help.
