Pironmon 5 Rear Case fans always on

I got the Pironman 5 Kit yesterday and has some issues with setting it up. Initially I was getting buffer i/o errors and it turned out to be the SD extender board. I am being sent a V14 board to replace the V12 I got in the kit. OLED didnt work initially but re-installing and rebooting the pironman software fixed the issue.

After setting up the eeprom and setting the values to 1 as noted in the guide, the rear case fans are always on at full blast. When I shutdown they turn off momentarily but then spin back up. I re-installed the Pironman5 module with no luck. No amount of re-installing and update fixes the issue. I read in another post to downgrade the kernal and reinstall but no luck (sudo rpi-update 44a287fe97c04506841fe3b3e794c70a2e01c7de). Also, in the Dashboard there is no section/option to see or control the fans.

I am using the most recent PiOS image with my Pi5 8gb. I’m new-ish to the community so I’m kind of running these commands blindly as I’m finding them in the official guide and forums.

After confirming the configuration shutdown to disable GPIO power
It is recommended that you use a multimeter to measure the GPIO 6 shorting piece of the IO expansion board after safely shutting down pironman5 to see what the voltage is. The positive pole is connected to the GPIO 6 shorting piece and the negative pole is connected to the GND pin.
Also, after safely shutting down, measure the positive and negative poles of the fan pins of the IO expansion board to see what the voltage is at this time. Please tell us.
