Pyronman5 max, fans RGB not following but always in default mode

Hi ya’ll,

As i couldn’f find similar issue here i thought i make a post here.

The problems i have all of a sudden is that the small 40mm RGB fans only work in “default” mode and do not “follow” the onboards RGB at all. Only when the fans ramp up or when i set them to always on in dashboard the fans turn on and so does the RGB but only in rainbow mode.

I reinstalled the pyronman5 max software, i reconnected all the fan connectors, i did restart the servers, etc. but none of it works so far.

Perhaps someone can help me here with a setting? I am sure its a software thing cos they worked fine before.

Thank you in advanced.

The issue you are experiencing is completely normal and not a software problem—it is designed this way.

The LED color on the RGB fan cannot be controlled; it defaults to a multicolor cycle. The RGB fan can only be turned on or off independently.
When you adjust the RGB colors, you are only changing the color of the RGB LEDs on the IO expansion board—not the RGB fan’s LEDs.

Okay thank you for clearing that up.

I thought with the previous installation the fans followed the onboard RGB as stated in the manual.

Also, why is the PCIe limited to just gen 2? I did some testing and i got like almost 400 for reads and writes, its fast but not PCIe Gen 3 obviously. I am keen to know why this decision is made instead of going for a Gen 3.

Is it the Pironman 5 Max case or the standard Pironman 5 case?

This is important because their NVMe support differs due to the internal hardware:

The standard Pironman 5 case uses a Single-NVMe PIP board and supports PCIe Gen 3 speeds.

The Pironman 5 Max case uses a Dual-NVMe PIP board and supports PCIe Gen 2 speeds (it does not support Gen 3).

oh sorry, i guess i did not mention that i have the pyronman 5 max.

I see that now indeed! That is pretty weird if you ask me tho, confusing too. If i knew this before i would have bought the vanilla pyronman 5 instead of the max..

anyway,

Is this pip compatible with the 5 max? It seems like the same board only 1 NVME, correct?

Yes,It is compatible.

so if i use this instead of the current one i can get gen 3, right?

The only thing now is, how to get this? I cannot order this as i don’t have paypal or anything else like it.. only iDEAL..

If you need to purchase a single NVMe PIP module separately for the standard Pironman5 case, please refer to the following link:

Please note:
The single NVMe PIP supports PCIe Gen 3 speeds; however, it requires configuration before it can function properly.

For configuration instructions, please see:

yes correct,

I thought i did not had PayPal but turned out i have lol. I ordered it already.

I know about the config but thnx to explain anyway.
