Hello, I bought the SunFounder Raspberry Pi 4 Display Touchscreen 7 Inch (7 Inch Display) and I can say that it works really well connected to a Raspberry 3 Model B+.
Actually, to turn off the display I turn off the HDMI port (command vcgencmd display_power 0)? But when I turn back on (command vcgencmd display_power 1) the display took some seconds (3-4 sec) to turn on the display again.
Is there a way to turn off the display via hardware modification (i.e. a mosfet on some pin of the board)?

Sorry, there is currently no way to turn off the display via hardware, you can only use commands to make the display turn off.
