Just completed PiDog build and software installation.
Working fine except: Head will oscillate rapidly side to side until gently touched to steady. Will start up again with slightest movement. Any fixes?
Thanks
We recommend that you provide a video of the issue to help us analyze and resolve it.
It’s possible that the head servo was not properly zeroed before being assembled and secured. If the servo is not zeroed correctly, it may encounter gear jams when trying to operate at its designated angles. This gear jamming can prevent the servo from turning normally, requiring it to overcome greater resistance, which increases the current draw and may cause the Raspberry Pi to shut down and restart.
Please confirm whether the head servo has been properly zeroed and adjusted before assembly. We suggest following our assembly video to ensure that the servo is correctly zeroed and assembled.
