Good Day All,
I am new to all this. I had a great time building the RVR. I uploaded the 5_car_move code and had no problem getting the code to run. Here is my problem, for some reason, I cannot upload anymore code to the robot. As soon as I plug it in to my PC it starts running the 5_car_move code. I am new at all this and am sure it is something simple.
If you previously uploaded the 5_car_move code, the Mars rover will run that code immediately after powering on, which is expected behavior. If you want to run other example codes, you will need to upload those new codes, which will overwrite the previously uploaded code. After a successful upload, the rover will execute the newly uploaded code.
You mentioned that you are currently unable to upload code. Are you encountering any error messages during the upload? If so, please provide a screenshot of the issue to help us analyze and resolve it.
Additionally, make sure to select the correct development board and port before uploading the code.
Good Morning,
Thanks for the quick response. I did not explain myself well. The rover turns on when attached to my computer and the upload button and power buttons are “on.” I am not able to even upload more code because the rover is moving. Am I allowed to post short videos to help illustrate my lack of explaining skills?
Unfortunately I cannot help with your specific problem. However, due to it being the weekend and Sunfounder’s time zone you may lose a couple of days awaiting an answer regarding uploading videos.
Sunfounder usually prefer an uploaded video for debug. However, you may not have enough "points’ to allow this.
Their usual answer is to upload to Google drive and allow them read permissions to the video.
Not too helpful I know, but it may save you a couple of days to get the video uploaded in advance ready for Monday?
You can provide us with the video you want to express, which will help us analyze and resolve the issue.
If the device automatically runs the last uploaded program when you upload code, affecting the upload process for the rover, you can suspend the rover device so that it does not touch the ground. This way, the rover will not move and will not interfere with the code upload, if I understand correctly.
Thank you so much for the quick response. It was completely newbie operator error. This is a great fourm. Thanks.
Any further help, please feel free to contact.
