Hi
After a brief hiatus from robotic software, mainly due to astronomy season, I have a few new ideas that I’d like to try out.
As I already have ROS2/RVIZ platforms running on pidog, I’d like to develop my next code in Gazebo simulation, for various reasons.
So I just wondered if anyone already had a pidog urdf available to share? If not, I’m quite happy to write one, but would just prefer it if there was one already out there.
Which seems like it can retarget animation from a dog to a pidog, if I had the URDF file.
Also it would be amusing to put the pidog into Issac sim. But again we would need a model for that.
Software technology is changing at high speed. The pidog is a great platform. It would be great to have the URDF available so people could put the dog into the various AI simulators that are now available.
Maybe someone can figure out how to put a VLA model on the dog. This is possible in theory because the actual computations can run on an external computer once you have ROS2 installed. The Raspberry Pi only needs to command the pi-hat. It doesn’t have to compute.
