Hi, owner of a picar-x kit (labeled 2023-10-20 on the box) that’s getting build now.

What OS should I use with a PI 5?

Hi,

For the PiCar-X with a Raspberry Pi 5, please use the latest official Raspberry Pi OS image (in Raspberry Pi Imager, select Raspberry Pi 5 as the device, then flash Raspberry Pi OS). The installation steps are in the official tutorial: SunFounder PiCar-X — SunFounder PiCar-X Kit documentation
