Hi, I have a PiCar‑X V4 with a Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB). The EzBlockOS versions 1.x–3.0.x do not boot correctly and EzBlock Studio 3.2.x does not show any PiCar‑X blocks or examples. Could you please send me the correct EzBlockOS image for PiCar‑X V4 that works with EzBlock Studio 3.2.x and Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB)? Thank you!
We recommend that you download and install the ezblock OS system image version 1.2.3 from the link below:
After successfully installing version 1.2.3 and connecting to the ezblock studio APP, please update the system to the latest version (1.2.5). Once the update is complete, you can then run the example programs smoothly.
This process helps ensure system compatibility and optimal performance.
Hi SunFounder Team,
I am using a PiCar‑X V4 with a Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB).
I installed EzBlockOS 1.2.3 and updated to 1.2.5 as recommended. Basic functions (Move, Remote Control, Ultrasonic, etc.) work fine, but all camera and AI examples fail.
The browser blocks the camera connection with the message: “The connection was blocked because it was initiated from a public page trying to access devices or servers in your local network.”
I believe I need the latest EzBlockOS image for PiCar‑X V4, which includes the updated camera bridge and V4 drivers.
Could you please send me the download link for the EzBlockOS version that supports PiCar‑X V4 and EzBlock Studio 3.x?
Thank you very much!
We have tested and verified that the camera feed can be accessed normally (as shown in the image).https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H2-ddYxpuyDKwIzH_fOxZuVJc0sWcgKc/view?usp=drive_link
If the camera screen does not display when you run the project example for the first time, please click the refresh button in the upper right corner to see if the camera feed appears.
Please ensure the camera cable is connected correctly. You can refer to the provided image to confirm whether the cable orientation is correct.
Hi SunFounder Team,
thank you for your previous reply.
I installed EzBlockOS 1.2.3, updated to 1.2.5, refreshed the camera view, and checked the cable.
Basic functions work, but all camera and AI examples remain blocked because modern browsers prevent WebRTC access to local IP addresses from public pages for security reasons.
I am using a PiCar‑X V4 with a Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB).
To get the camera working reliably, I need the latest EzBlockOS image for PiCar‑X V4, which includes the updated camera bridge and V4 drivers.
Could you please send me the download link for EzBlockOS 3.x for PiCar‑X V4?
Thank you very much!
You can try downloading and installing the Ezblock OS image version 2.0.2 Beta to see if the camera feed displays properly.
Download link for the Ezblock OS image (2.0.2 Beta):
If the camera still does not show properly, we recommend installing the official Raspberry Pi OS. After booting, open the terminal and run the command rpicam-hello to test whether the camera module can be detected normally.
Hi SunFounder Team,
thank you for your previous replies.
I have now fully tested the camera using rpicam‑hello on the official Raspberry Pi OS.
The camera works perfectly, so the hardware and cable are confirmed to be OK.
The issue only occurs inside EzBlock Studio, where the browser blocks the WebRTC camera stream.
EzBlockOS 1.2.5 and 2.0.2 Beta do not include the PiCar‑X V4 drivers or the updated camera bridge required for the V4 model.
I am using a PiCar‑X V4 with a Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB).
Without the correct EzBlockOS version that officially supports PiCar‑X V4, I cannot continue working with the robot.
Could you please provide the EzBlockOS version (3.x or newer) that supports PiCar‑X V4 and works with EzBlock Studio 3.x?
This is essential for me to proceed with camera and AI examples.
Thank you very much.
After connecting the APP, please run the project example and record a video of the running process for us to review.
We also perform our tests and verification using a Raspberry Pi 4.
The current ezblock APP version is 3.2.159, and the ezblock OS version is 1.2.5.
Hi,
thank you for your reply.
I can confirm that the camera works perfectly when testing with
rpicam‑hello on Raspberry Pi OS.
The hardware and cable are fine.

the WebRTC camera stream.
I am using a PiCar‑X V4, not an older PiCar‑X model.
EzBlockOS 1.2.5 does not include the PiCar‑X V4 drivers or the updated
camera bridge required for the V4 model.
Without the correct EzBlockOS version for PiCar‑X V4, I cannot continue
working with the robot.
Could you please provide the EzBlockOS version that officially supports
PiCar‑X V4 (EzBlockOS 3.x or newer)?
This is essential for me to proceed with camera and AI examples.
Thank you.
Could you please record a video of the issue for us to review?
We are also using the PiCar-X V4.
After successfully connecting the APP, please try running the face recognition project to see if the camera feed works properly. If an error message appears, try clicking the refresh button for the camera feed a few times to see if that resolves the display issue.
During our testing, we also encountered error prompts, but the feed displayed normally after refreshing.
All robot products that use the ezblock APP operate on the same version of the system APP and ezblock OS image. There is no separate update of the ezblock OS image or APP for any specific product or version.

Refreshing the feed does not solve the problem.

Could you please provide the EzBlockOS version that supports PiCar‑X V4 and works with EzBlock Studio 3.x?
Are you using EzBlock Studio on a browser or on a mobile phone/tablet?
Our verification was conducted on the mobile app.
It is also possible that you have not granted the necessary access permissions, which prevents the camera feed from being displayed.
On mobile devices, the first time you open the EzBlock Studio app, a permission prompt will appear. You need to click Allow to grant access, then run the project example again to check if the camera feed displays properly.
For browsers (such as Chrome or Edge), ensure that EzBlock Studio has permission to access the camera and microphone:
Click the lock icon on the left side of the browser address bar → Permissions → Allow Camera and Microphone.
Some browsers may block WebRTC streams by default for cross-origin or non-secure (HTTP) protocols.
It is also recommended to clear the browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete, select Cached images and files) and reconnect the device. Browser cache may retain outdated configuration data, which can cause issues with new camera stream transmissions.
Hi,
thank you for your reply.
I have already tested the camera using rpicam‑hello on Raspberry Pi OS. The camera hardware works perfectly, so the issue is not related to the module or the cable.
The problem occurs only inside EzBlock Studio, where the browser blocks the WebRTC camera stream. Refreshing the feed and clearing the cache does not solve the issue.
I am using a PiCar‑X V4 with a Raspberry Pi 4B (8GB). EzBlockOS 1.2.5 and 2.0.2 Beta do not include the updated camera bridge or the V4‑specific drivers required for proper camera and AI functionality.
Without a working camera feed in EzBlock Studio, I cannot continue using the robot.
Under EU consumer warranty law, the product must be fully functional and suitable for its advertised purpose. If there is no EzBlockOS version that officially supports the PiCar‑X V4, I will unfortunately have to return the product under EU warranty regulations.
Please provide the EzBlockOS version that supports PiCar‑X V4 and works with EzBlock Studio 3.x.
Thank you.
Please contact at service@sunfounder.com to provide a short video so we can know it well.
