This dialog box is appearing when I’m opening the app after connecting to GalaxyRVR wifi network. Currently, my wifi is in AP mode, I tried changing it to STA mode but then I was not able to see WIFI network which was visible in AP mode. I’m using iOS.

If you change it to STA mode, the WiFi network your iOS device connects to must be on the same local area network as the WiFi network configured in STA mode in order to search for connections properly.

My phone and the RVR are on the same network. Is there a limitation as to the IP class or something else? The only way I can get the address is by plugging in and watching the serial output. That only works until I take the RVR outside.

Otherwise, has anyone tried putting a display like an HD44780 or something else on? I haven’t had mine long enough to figure out what’s left for expansion after the shield is in place.

Please provide us with the serial print information from your Mars rover after successfully connecting to WiFi.

Also, check the separate IP generated on your phone after connecting to WiFi and compare it with the IP of the Mars rover.

Try exiting the app and reopening it to see how it works.

I’m running my rover in STA mode, not AP. Plus, if I need to be connected to serial then it’s a lot harder to have the rover “rove”

I’ve restarted the app, restarted the phone. If I have the rover connected to the serial monitor I can see it connecting to my local wi-fi and I can use the displayed address in the app. It’s just that I can’t do it end-to-end.

I’ve started adding a small display to show the IP address but it looks like I need to mod the SunFounder_AI_Camera source to expose the STA IP address to the caller.

Skipped the “scan” option for now since it’s not working nicely. I added a license plate instead. Tweaked the library and added a 4-digit display to cycle through the octets. Time to go outside and chase the dogs around.
