Est-ce que tes LED RGB fonctionnent?
Below are explanations and troubleshooting steps for both the CPU cooler fan and the RGB fan.
Below 50°C: The fan remains off (0% speed).
At 50°C: The fan runs at low speed (30%).
At 60°C: The fan increases to medium speed (50%).
At 67.5°C: The fan runs at high speed (70%).
At 75°C or above: The fan runs at full speed (100%).
If the fan is not spinning, it is likely because the CPU temperature has not yet reached 50°C. This is normal behavior.
You can refer to our detailed FAQ for more information:
CPU Fan Not Working – Pironman 5 Documentation
Additionally, please check the following hardware connection:
Ensure that the fan connector is properly aligned and securely plugged into the FAN pins on the Raspberry Pi 5.
We have encountered cases where misaligned connectors caused bent pins on the Pi 5, resulting in no electrical contact and the fan not functioning. Please carefully inspect your connection. (Refer to the attached image for illustration.)
To test the CPU cooler fan:
You can switch the RGB fan mode to “Quiet” temporarily, which will turn off the RGB fan. Allow the CPU temperature to rise above 50°C, then observe whether the CPU cooler fan starts spinning. (Monitor the CPU temperature during this test.)
Step 1 – Check the jumper on the IO expansion board:
Ensure that the GPIO6 pins on the IO expansion board are connected with a jumper cap. This is required for the RGB fan to receive control signals.
Step 2 – Set the RGB fan to “Always On” mode:
Run the following commands to configure the RGB fan to run continuously:
sudo pironman5 -gm 0
sudo systemctl restart pironman5.service
RGB Fan Modes Explained:
0: Always On – The RGB fan runs continuously.
1: Performance – Fan starts at 50°C.
2: Cooling – Fan starts at 60°C.
3: Balanced – Fan starts at 67.5°C.
4: Quiet – Fan starts at 70°C.
Setting the mode to 0 will help verify whether the RGB fan is functional.
