Picrawler running at an angle on a roof?

I need a buyers advice:
I want to use picrawler to explore the roof of my house, that’s why I want to ask in advance if it’s possible to running at an angle, eg at 45° or max 50° ?

Absolutely! You’ll just need to make some adjustments to our existing code.

Nice. Please can you point me to the related piece of code to understand how it could work ?

please check: picrawler/picrawler/picrawler.py at main · sunfounder/picrawler · GitHub

And where is exactly the part to use an angel of e.g 40° for the roof “horizon” ?

I do not believe you’d get enough traction on a sloping roof.

@Spf650 You are right. If the roof of your house is tilted, the spider can hardly work in this environment. The traction is not enough, and it will slip or slide when working in a tilted environment.
If the roof is flat, it is feasible.

Unfortunately the roof is not flat, it comes wit 45°. The idea was to add a screw or a nail on the end of any leg. But it’s also a question of weight focus.
The focus must be as much as possible away from the bottom, but then the angle (green) for the grip becomes negative. An additional joint at the end of any leg would make sense for a better grip for the nail.
This is missing :-1:

The goal is to remove Bryophyte - Wikipedia form the roof and with a drone twill also not work at all

We cannot guarantee the feasibility of this solution, as we haven’t tested it under experimental conditions. However, you’re welcome to try it out and assess its effectiveness.
