Hi, I have built Pidog and am getting this error which is stopping any programs running:
ERROR: ‘Pidog’ object has no attribute ‘rgb_strip’
..this one is after installing Chat GPT..but all the errors are regarding the rgb strip - it seems to be connected properly, I have updated all software etc. I don’t even particularly need this led strip anyway, so is there a way to bypass it so I don’t always get this error? Thanks for your help.
Please confirm whether your RGB light strip and IMU board are correctly connected to the i2c interface of robot hat?
The reason for this error is that the hardware is not connected properly or is loose.
It is recommended to check whether the RGB light strip and IMU board are correctly connected to the i2c interface of robot hat in the shutdown state, and then turn on the computer to run the sample code to see how it works.
If the same situation still occurs, please try the following verification solution:
It is recommended that you remove the wiring between the IMU board and the RGB light row, connect the i2c interface of robot hat respectively, and then execute the code to verify whether the IMU board and RGB light row can work properly.
Switch the path to pidog/test/, find the examples related to the IMU board and RGB light row and run the verification.
You can try to verify both sides of the interface of the IMU board and the RGB light row.
The premise is that the i2c interface socket of robot hat is normal.
Thanks, but now unfortunately I have broken the hat interface while trying to make sure the connection was in properly..I over forced it (see pic). I don’t know how to repair this, unless you think this could be straight forward..if not, is it possible for me to buy a new hat board separately? Thanks again for your help.
Please contact our support team at service@sunfounder.com, and you will get a link to buy the robot hat.
Important Note: When connecting cables, please gently hold the socket in place while inserting the cable to avoid applying excessive force, which could damage the socket.
