Pironman 5 Max, shuts down & locks up after 2 hours of inactivity

Installed everything per instructions and updated. Everything seems to work perfectly. However, if left idle for about 2 hours the system goes to a “grey screen” and locks up. At first I thought it was just some sleep mode. No way could I get it to run again without disconnecting the power adapter. Any ideas or suggestions?

Which OS are you using? Maybe take a look at power management, looking for sleep mode option.

Please provide the version of the operating system you are currently using, as well as the log information from the Pironman5 software installation. If possible, please also send us a video of the issue. This will help us better analyze and resolve the problem for you.

OS is 64bit Debian Trixie. Pi5 is 16Mb, booting form M.2 drive. There is no image to send as it is just a blank gray screen. I don’t know how to access the “log file”.

  1. May we know the specifications of the power adapter you are currently using to power the case?

  2. Have you installed the Pironman5 software correctly?
Please follow the tutorial steps to install it:
Set Up on Raspberry Pi/Ubuntu/Kali/Homebridge OS — SunFounder Pironman 5 documentation

  3. Could you please share the debug logs with us? This will help us analyze and resolve the issue.
You can check the logs with these commands:

    cat /var/log/pironman5/pm_auto.oled.log
    cat /var/log/pironman5/main.log

Your good advice to check if Pironman software was installed correctly was right on target. I must have made an error with my initial install to cause my system to shutdown after a couple of hours of inactivity. I reinstalled Pironman5 and updated everything. Problem solved. Left the system on all night and no crash! Thanks for your support.

Glad it work.Any help, please feel free to contact.
