My Raspberry 5’s processor already has a heatsink, so I can’t install the tower cooler. What should I do?
Did you attach a heatsink to your Pi 5? A heatsink can only conduct heat — it cannot dissipate the heat effectively once transferred.
Our tower cooler works differently: it transfers the Pi 5’s heat to aluminum fins, and the cooler’s fan then actively blows the heat away. Meanwhile, the RGB fan exhausts the accumulated hot air from inside the case.
Therefore, we recommend removing the heatsink and using our tower cooler for proper cooling.
Thanks for your reply. The Raspberry 5 was delivered with the cooler already mounted. It was part of a starter kit that included a case. The cooler is very tightly glued and probably won’t be able to be removed without damage. I guess I have no choice but to buy a new Pi 5 for the Pironman.
You can go ahead and set up a new Pi 5 for the case.
