Just assembled my Pironman 5 and installed a Crucial P3 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, hardware is complete and I edited the /boot/firmware/config.txt per instructions but I’m not seeing any evidence that it’s seeing the SSD. Here is a df:
Hope you’ve had a great new year celebration and welcome back. I’ve been on vacation since my original post and just got back to looking into my ssd problems on my new pironman5. I’m running 64b Bookworm (v12) and after following the instructions and FAQ only having problems with the SSD. OLED, LEDs, and Dashbord all working fine. Dashboard shows /dev/nvme0n1 is ‘Not Mounted’. (Pwr LED is on but no activity on Sta LED) My SSD is listed as supported but the FAQ did’t show how the FPC is routed once assembled. Would appreciate it if you would look at the attached picture if it is as expected and also your thoughts relative to troubleshooting or commands related to the PCIe operation. I never used the PCIe connection on my Pi5, and hoping I could test the interface before having to purchase a replacement PI5. Thanks
Your tower heatsink is installed in the opposite direction, it may be pressed to the PCIE terminal on the Raspberry Pi end, please try to reassemble it, pay attention to remove the tower heatsink carefully, in addition, there is a spare PCIE cable in the package.
Thanks; Everything is working now. Per your advice I rebuilt the Pironman but it was painful. When disassembling the Pironman5 I tilted the HDMI interface too much and ruined it (micro-HDMI shells on the adapter board came off). In dispiration I bought another Pironman5 kit and used the HDMI board from that kit to rebuild the original case. So now that it’s working and I have a 2nd full kit which is missing the HDMI adapter; any chance I can purchase a replacement part?
