PWR LED on NVM Pip

Hello! I didnt’ find anything on that topic anywhere.

Is it somehow possible to deactivate the PWR LED on the NVM Pip? The Case is located in the bedroom and the light is really bright.

If not, is it possible to deactivate the whole board? I currently don’t have SSD mounted, so that would also work at the moment.

Thanks!

If you prefer not to have the NVMe PIP working, you can simply unplug the 4‑pin header connecting the NVMe PIP to the USB HDMI board, and also disconnect the PCIe FPC ribbon cable.

However, please note that the LEDs on the IO Expander and the RGB fan will likely be brighter than the NVMe PIP.
You can further disable these LEDs:

Turn off the RGB LED on the IO Expander
Run the following command:

sudo pironman5 -re false

Turn off the light on the RGB fan
This requires directly removing the RGB jumper on the fan.

Following these steps should turn off most of the related lighting.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answer!

I already have the rest of the LEDs deactivated during sleep and only activated while not sleeping.

I just assumed the PWR LED on the NVM PIP could also be deactivated just like the PWR LED of the Pi board.

Thanks for your help
