When fully charged: Measure and record the voltage of each battery separately using a multimeter.
When completely drained: Repeat the measurement for both batteries.
Regarding 5-pin Battery Replacement:
While we can provide the battery, please note that shipping standalone batteries carries significant logistical challenges:
Most carriers reject battery-only shipments due to strict safety regulations
High probability of package return during security checks
Thanks hozdemir. That’s probably the route I’ll take. My pidog used to run for about 20 minutes, depending on what I was asking of it. But now it’s probably less than 10 minutes. I don’t think anything is amiss, just normal battery wear and tear.
Was it straightforward to make up the new battery pack? Connectors etc?
Could you possibly provide the specifications / part reference & brand for the connector which is used on the PiDog battery pack? I would like to create a new battery pack with higher capacity batteries.
I have a problem because I wanted to buy an additional battery. I wrote to the service center and got a reply:
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but due to strict international shipping regulations, lithium batteries sent alone are highly likely to be rejected during security checks and returned. Unfortunately, this makes it nearly impossible for us to ship the battery separately. The product link we shared earlier includes the battery bundled with the Robot Hat Expansion, which meets shipping requirements and can be delivered successfully in most cases.”
I can buy the battery with the Robot Hat module, but not alone I think there are more people with this problem. How can I solve it? Maybe I can buy a replacement battery in my country based on the wiring diagram? Could Sunfounder make such a diagram available?
