The question is where is the “legacy” branch of vilib.

NOT

“It is recommended that you use 32-bit Debian version: 11 (bullseye) first to see if the installation works.”

I have the same issue, I have Two “old” Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4 with 8GB of RAM from 2021. I have tried 32-bit Debian version: 11 (bullseye) [and 64 Bit], nevertheless the operating systems (bullseye and about) does not “see” the cameras. So, after many weeks for hardware troubleshooting which failed because I had repeatedly downloaded Debian version: 11 (bullseye).

Over weekend I fell back downloaded to Raspios-buster-armhf-lite-2021-1-11_EzBlockOS-v1.2.3 which COULD “see” the cameras, however did not include the pi desktop. This image also reported the same “vilib” error as above

System not be supported.Requires system in bullseye(11) or newer.
Please use newer system or use “legacy” branch.

Thinking that while the EzBlockOS package could see the cameras it was still out of date for vilib, downloaded 2022-04-04-raspios-buster-armhf.img.xz which is a newer version of Raspberry Pi OS Buster

vilib is still reporting that I need to use the “legacy” branch.

Start installing vilib 0.3.8 for user tlc
Python version: 3.7.3
Raspbian version: 10 (32bit)

System not be supported.Requires system in bullseye(11) or newer.
Please use newer system or use “legacy” branch.

install pigpio… Done
