i’ve tried the ssh command in terminal several times without success. Terminal doesn’t even give me feedback on whether the command was successful or not. Is there a backup way to connect?

PICAR-X. I have an M4 MacBook Pro running the latest MacOS. I’ve installed the operating system on the SD card a dozen times, but terminal doesn’t do anything with the ssh command. I use terminal rarely (a half dozen time over 20 years) and don’t know what to expect.
I missed turning the ssh on in the Raspberry Pi Imager. Now squared away.
If you get your R-Pi board connected to the internet you should be able to connect via VNC viewer on the MAC or PC. The board ID is Pidog by default.
