Thermal Pads - 2 chips not cooled (Pironman5)

Hi,
Just wondering, why are there 2 chips which are under the cooler plate, which do not have thermal pads? RAM and the RP1 chip. If they are directly under the cooler, would it not be beneficial to also have them cooled? Or from the in house testing has this prooven to not make any difference or make things worse or something?
