Wifi connection on GalaxyRVR has gone dead

I recently built the GalaxyRVR kit. I was able to connect to its Wifi and run the app on my iPhone. But had no camera feed. So I bought another camera and replaced the old one. But now it is not sending out the GalaxyRVR wifi. I reloaded the Arduino code. I saw the other similar post and did what it said. Here is the serial port feed:

I fear that I may need another GalaxyRVR shield.

THANKS!

You can try to change Wi-Fi setting to STA if you use Rover at home. If you want to use it outside you can turn on Wi-Fi access point on your iPhone, set Wi-Fi settings into Rover and enjoy! FAQ — SunFounder GalaxyRVR Kit for Arduino 1.0 documentation

Hello,

I entered my home’s Wifi properties, but still could not connect. I
think I may have zapped the GalaxyRVR Shield. Is it possible to buy one
or get a replacement?

Thanks,
John

Wi-Fi connection is made by the esp32 module. Take a look on connections between esp32 and main board. Make sure that little switch is at RUN position.

I should have seen the Wi-Fi on the esp32 module. Thank you.
Here is my situation. The esp32 module that came with the GalaxyRVR
could connect but had no camera feed. I bought 2 esp32 modules from
Amazon. Although their esp32 modules look the same, they cannot connect
to Wi-Fi. I tried the two new cameras with the original esp32 module,
but still no camera feed. So, I guess I need a esp32 module.

Thank you,
John Layne

Have you try to update the firmware of esp32 module?

I updated the firmware. Now I can see the GalaxyRVR Wi-Fi, but it says
the password 12345678 is incorrect.

Yes I know, was the same thing for me. Now you can try to set Wi-Fi as STA with your home Wi-Fi settings. It’s supposed to work now.

  1. Update SunFounder_AI_Camera to version 1.1.1 (as shown in the image).

  2. Update the firmware for the ESP32 CAM:
How to Update Firmware for ESP32 CAM

  3. Change the Wi-Fi channel:
    How to Change Wi-Fi Channel

  4. Re-upload the zeus-car.ino code:
How to Upload the galaxy-rvr.ino Code

If the issue of repeated disconnections persists after trying the above methods, it is recommended to downgrade the ESP32 CAM firmware back to version 1.4.0 to see if the disconnection issue still occurs.

Now I have the intermittent disconnect problem and I need to install
firmware ai-camera-firmware-v1.4.0 and I have 1.4.1. Can see GalaxyRVR
WiFi but it does not accept “12345678” as the password. Spent many hours
trying to update the firmware with the esp32-cam board wired up to an
Arduino Uno board. ARG.

Is it possible to buy an esp32-cam board and camera that works??

Thanks
