Connecting Pi Zero 2 W to Robot HAT

I’m assembling the PiCar-X V4. I have a Raspberry pi Zero 2 W as shown in the photo in the manual on Step 1, which doesn’t have the forty extended pins. However, the drawing of the raspberry pi zero 2 W in the manual on step 2 does have forty extended pins to connect to the Robot HAT. Did I buy the wrong raspberry pi zero 2 W or do I need a part to connect it to the robot HAT?

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W requires a 40-pin male header to be soldered on in order to properly connect and install with the Robot HAT from the Picar-X product.
This is because the Robot HAT uses a 40-pin GPIO female header.

You have a choice. You can either solder on a header yourself, or purchase a pizero with header already attached. If only purchased recently? You may be able to return your existing one and buy the one with a header.

SPF650 is absolutely right.
