Galaxy RVR Motor Driver Burned after the first start

Hello community.
After the assembling Galaxy rover and connecting it to the Sunfounder Controller App I pushed the virtual triggers (left and right motors) on the App: left motors was not even started and after 5 seconds I heard and smelled the smoke and loud click from the Shield board (left motor driver I think)
Right motors was ok and alive! After I have disconnected right motor group and reconnected LEFT motors to the RIGHT pins - they still not worked.
And after this reconnection I put everything back like it must be and right motors (that was ok previously) became not working!!!
All motors from the box has short circuits for + and - contacts is it normal?

I bought another Galaxy RVR but I’m scared to start assembling due to the motors gap!

Please, help me :folded_hands:

Let me summarize your problem.
At first, the left motor does not work and the left motor driver chip is burned, but the right motor works fine.
Then you connect the left motor to the right motor driver, and the left motor does not work either.
Finally you restore and connect the right motor back to the right motor driver, and the right motor does not work either.
If this is the case, it may be the left motor that is faulty.
Are the + and - contacts of all the motors in the box shorted?
It is recommended that you take a clear picture of the problem motor and show it to us.

Thank you for your response.

Yes, all you described is true and you understand everything right

All motors from the box is shorted (+ and - contacts) I just tested it again.

As you can see from the picture there is some part that can be a bridge for this “shorted” contacts.

I just bought another Galaxy RVR (new one) and the + and - contacts of all the motors in the box shorted also (I only open the box and checked the contact, so motors was not used before)

Judging from the pictures you provided, it is normal.
The 104 capacitor is connected in parallel at both ends of the DC motor for filtering and noise suppression.
The motor is similar to a short circuit in a static state because the motor is full of coil windings.
The two ends of the 5V DC motor are short-circuited in a static state because of the low resistance characteristics of the armature winding, but this does not affect the normal operation of the motor.
We will arrange to reissue the expansion board and motor to you.
