Pi Crawler Rasberry 5 - Cant Connect to the EzBlock Studio

Hello

I have connected to the crawler Bluetooth on my iPhone. However in the EzBlock Studio app the crawler does not appear when I try to connect. Is the app not compatible with Pi5? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you!

The Ezblock APP is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5, but you need to allow it to access location information before it can successfully discover Bluetooth devices.

Also, we apologize for this — did you use Raspberry Pi Imager version 2.0 or above to install the 2.0.2 Beta version of the Ezblock OS image?

If so, there may be an issue where even if Bluetooth connects successfully, WiFi may still not work. We are working hard to update this.

For now, please reinstall the 2.0.2 Beta Ezblock OS image using version 1.9.6 of the Raspberry Pi Imager, and configure the username, password, WiFi, etc.
Here is the download link for version 1.9.6:

Thank you for your reply. Still no luck though. On the iphone ezblock Studio app I still cant connect via Bluetooth. On the iPhone, under settings, I am connected to rasberripi. The app itself says I am in offline mode. I hit connect and it just remains blank.

I reinstalled 2.02 using the 1.9.6 installer. Under location services the ezblock does not appear. I did reinstall the app and allow it to use it.

Any idea what to do next would be appreciated

Did you enable location?

On iPhone Settings → Privacy → Location Services, make sure Location Services is ON.

Scroll down to EzBlock Studio and set it to “While Using the App”

The strange thing is the app is not showing in the list of apps

Try to install 2.01 via 1.96, some users have reported ble issues with rpi5 on v2.02

We have tested it and indeed Ezblock cannot be found in Location Services, but that does not prevent Bluetooth connection. Ezblock version 2.0.2 does work on the Raspberry Pi 5.

You need to make sure that your iPhone and the PiCrawler are on the same network.

Then turn on Bluetooth, open Ezblock Studio, and you should see the ezb-raspberry Bluetooth device. Just click to connect.
