Pironman 5 Mini HDMI cutouts

I was not getting HDMI signal from my Pironman 5 Mini. I tried both ports on multiple monitors and it would not work. On a whim, I removed the side plate and plugged my adapter in and it worked. It seems like the side plate is just thick enough to prevent my HDMI adapter to fully seat into the port.

Anyone else experiencing this? I thought it might save someone some frustration. I only have one HDMI adapter that came with a name brand kit I purchased a while back, so I have not tried any other adapters.

Once I got this working I was able to install the service and get my fan and LED’s working with no issues. The tutorial was very helpful.

Quick update. I received a new Micro HDMI adapter today and it works great. The one I had from my previous kit seems shorter. If you have intermittent display issues with this case, check your adapter.

That’s correct. If the Micro HDMI connector is too short, it will not make a perfect connection with the PI5 HDMI interface. It is recommended to choose a cable with a longer Micro HDMI connector.
