I recently purchased a Pironman 5. I assembled it according to your Youtube video but I press the power button and nothing happens. I’ve tested the Pi itself and there is no issue there and I tested the power supply on another device and no issue there. I have read on the forum that other people have had the same problem and the issue seems to be the USB/HDMI board. How do I go about getting this replaced?
Did you take a look to the on button connector and 2 probes through pi5 board contact. If you jump the contacts, does it boot?
Do you have a good power supply? Normally when you plug the power supply it supposed to boot. If not maybe the issue come from the USB HDMI adapter. If you have a multimeter you can check voltage a 4-pin headers, supposed to get about 5v.
If not you can contact them at service@sunfounder.com
Thanks for the quick response Weirdguy but can you explain what you mean by “jump the contacts”. how do I do that.
Make a loop on both contacts.
I greatly appreciate your help with this but I am not great with hardware and electronics. How do I go about making a loop on both contacts. also is their a way I can check the voltage on the 4 pin header without a multimeter?
First of all, when everything is plugged, are those led are ON?
If no light on, you have a good power supply, if you plug power supply directly to pi5 it’s work but nothing when you plug it to Pironman5. I think you have issue with USB HDMI Adapter. So you’ll to contact sunfounder consumer’s service at service@sunfounder.com .
As you don’t have any multimeter I can’t see how you can test the part.
