I’m having a weird issue with power button.
It simply doesn’t work. Nor for turning on, nor for shutting down, nor with long press, nor with short press. The pironman5 is fully assembled as instructions.
We suggest providing a video of the issue for us to review.
1.Please confirm whether the power switch converter is correctly connected to the J2 jumper on the PI5.
2.Please check if the wiring of the power button is properly connected to the power switch converter interface.
We recommend rechecking the assembly and testing it to see if it works.
Hi @SunFounder_Moderator, I got my PironMan 5 yesterday and assembled it today. I have the same issue. I’ve tried your recommendations and had to disassemble the case to follow your recommendations with no luck. Once you plug in the power to the device, it instantly turns on. However, the power button does absolutely nothing as OP described. Here’s the video proof as you requested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhRw8NzuZAk
Could you please provide any solution?
The video is not easy to judge. It is recommended that you connect a display, successfully start pironman5, and then press the button to observe the status.
Greetings.
Sorry for the late reply but i’ve been pretty busy with my work.
Here is the video. https://youtu.be/wn7TY2Zwjac
Basically the power button does nothing. The system is updated to the latest version, and fully assembled as in your guide. The system is fully working, no error/warning messages on dmesg
I just assembled a Pironman 5 case and I am having the same issue. Pushing or holding the power button does nothing. I followed the instructions correctly and everything else works fine. I am running the official PIOS and have everything updated.
I made sure to double check that everything is connected correctly and I also tried disconnecting the switch and reconnecting it again. The switch just does not work.
I took the NVME board and the remote power switch board completely out and reseated them for a third time and now the button works as intended. The POGO pins must not have been making good enough contact the first couple of times. It is now working as it should
