Pironman5 OLED Customization on Batocera v41

So I have been trying to figure out how to customize which mounted directory the built-in 0.96” OLED displays. I have a 2TB SSD hooked up but it is only showing me a 256mb partition. I want it to show me the userdata partition.

I have been searching online and the forums for 2 days now. Is there anyway to change this?

But I’m not sure at 100% if it works with Batocera.

This was one of my finds over the past few days. dashboard is not available in Batocera. Thanks though.

Batocera cannot access the dashboard. Currently, there are compatibility issues between the Batocera system and the Pironman 5 software, so we recommend using another compatible system.

The compatibility issue requires updates from the Batocera development team, and we cannot upgrade it ourselves. We have already contacted the Batocera developers but have not yet received a response.

I just wanted to give an update on this since I found a way to make it work.

Installing V41 of Batocera did not allow the Pironman 5 to display the correct folder.

However, Updating the Batocera to the Beta butterfly v42 did switch it to the correct drive for the pironman 5.

Thank you for taking the time to share this valuable update! We’re delighted to hear you found a working solution with Batocera Butterfly v42 Beta for your Pironman 5 setup.

To help us document this for other users, could you kindly share:
Where did you access the v42 Beta version?

We checked Batocera’s official site and only see v41 listed, so your experience is particularly helpful for troubleshooting.

When using Batocera with a controller, I am using a 8bitdo pro for instance. I pressed Start to open the Main Menu. Scrolled down to Updates & Downloads > Scrolled down to Update Type. Changed that to Butterfly. Turned on “Check for Updates”. and then clicked “Start Update”. The update will download and then when completed it will ask you to restart the system. Once I did that, it worked. Dashboard still doesn’t work, but it at least changed the OLED to show the correct mounted drive.

Yes, currently the version of Batocera does not support the latest Pironman 5 software updates, which means the dashboard functionality is not available. We need assistance from the Batocera development team to implement these updates.

We have reached out to the Batocera developers but have not yet received a response regarding the update.

I apologize for the inconvenience and recommend considering other compatible systems for your setup.

Thank you for your understanding.
