I just purchased a Pironman5 and I really like it so I decided to make it into a self contained unit with a built in power supply. I also decided to add a front and rear barrel connector so that I can power outboard accessories. This power supply was salvaged from something a couple of years ago and is capable of 5V @ 6A. I had to shave it down about 3/16" in length to fit in the case but as you can see it fits. This unit has a tweaker so I adjusted the output to 5.125V and so far so good. Last I had some really cool aluminum feet in my salvage parts so they got added as well. Here’s a picture of the completed unit.
Update, because of the way I connected the 5V power to the Pi I’m able to use the USB C port to power my 15" monitor. It gets it’s power through a USB C connector so a USB C to C cable does the job. I’m quite pleased with how well this all works.
