Problem following process to return to default firmware

Hi,

I am attempting to follow the tutorial to reflash the default firmware (as found in the FAQ).

When I run the “update-arduino-firmware” batch file, I see the following:

Update Arduino Firmware

firmware: “zeus-car-1.4.5.hex”

Ports List:

Enter a COM port of Arduino (1-0):

>>

Nothing works as a response to the prompt, and I note that there are no ports listed under “Ports List” (unlike the example shown in the FAQ). However, my Device Manager shows Arduino Uno connected to COM1.

Any thoughts on what has gone wrong?

Thank you for your post. From the information you provided, it appears that the firmware update tool is not detecting the Arduino’s COM port.

Could you please help us confirm whether COM1 is indeed the Arduino? Here’s how:

Open Device Manager on your computer.

Unplug the Arduino’s USB cable and observe whether COM1 disappears from the list.

Reconnect the USB cable and see which COM port reappears.

If possible, please also send us a screenshot of the Device Manager > Ports (COM & LPT) section while the Arduino is connected.
