Problems with Piccrawler from the start

Hi there,

A few years ago I bought the Piccrawler and assembled it , with a Raspberry Py 4- model B.

At the time I was not able to get it to work. So, 3 years later, I am trying to set things up.

Easy way should be the SD cars with EZblocks. So, load the OS on the SD card, put in in the crawler, start up, lots of green and red lights indicating it is reading the SD.

Looking in the EZblock studio app, no Bluetooth of the crawler.

I am really getting desperate here.

Many thanks for your help

  1. Is your SD card flashed with our designated EzBlock OS image?
Here is the download link for the image:
    https://onedrive.live.com/?redeem=aHR0cHM6Ly8xZHJ2Lm1zL3UvYy9mM2I4MmZmY2E0OGI4MGEyL1FhS0FpNlQ4TDdnZ2dQUE9DQUFBQUFBQUthOENIS21nYkNVTlp3&cid=F3B82FFCA48B80A2&id=F3B82FFCA48B80A2%212254&parId=F3B82FFCA48B80A2%211537&o=OneUp
After the download is complete, unzip the downloaded package and you will see the .img file inside.

  2. Follow the tutorial steps to flash the image to the SD card:
    https://docs.sunfounder.com/projects/ezblock3/en/latest/quick_guide_3.2/install_ezblock_os.html

  3. Then follow this tutorial to connect the product to EzBlock:
    https://docs.sunfounder.com/projects/ezblock3/en/latest/quick_guide_3.2/connect_product_ezblock.html

I hope this step-by-step summary helps you get connected.

Hi,

I did all of this. The music sounds. For a brief moment the BT pops up on my wife’s mobile. But not in the app, only im the BT devices list. On the othe phone/tablet (Android) the address of BT does not appear, not on the device list nor on the app/

Strange

Hi,

BTW: I cannot download the above Onedrive file, but I got the image you habe on the site.

The "customize"option is greyed out in the Pi-imager

Could you please try turning on your phone’s location service and then restarting the Bluetooth service on your phone? Then check whether you can find the PiCrawler’s Bluetooth signal.

Additionally, since the PiCrawler has gone through several iterations over time and your device was purchased earlier, could you please take a clear photo of your PiCrawler (especially the main board or any label that might indicate the version) and send it to us? This will help us identify which version you have and provide more accurate assistance.
