Hi all. I have installed my Pironman5 and all seems good. I do however have a reduction in WI-FI signal, which results in the RP5 disconnecting at times with the WI-FI. Has anyone had this issue or had a solution to improve the signal. Its got a lot worse after installing my WD SN580 NVMe SSD, which I have checked is compatible. As I write this, its running OS from it, but I do wonder is this causing the issue. Many thanks. Ian
The Pironman5 case wraps around the PI5, which can affect its WiFi signal reception.
We suggest using an external USB WiFi adapter to enhance the WiFi signal.
As mentioned I did notice the signal was far better when the NVME was not installed. Any thoughts on this?
The pi5 has on its own already very bad onboard WiFi.
I had the same problem even without the Pironman5 case.
It got worse of course as it got closed in. I can’t say I seen worse behavior with or without nvme though.
WeirdyGuy suggested me this and it works wonders, I suggest you go for that
Thanks, I will try and order one. The NVME drive has caused the WiFi to loose total connected at times whereas it was 100% connection when not installed.
I had this issue initially with the wifi dropping out all the time after installing the NVME drive but it eventually went away with a system update. Its been working great lately.
