When you’ll found the issue with SD extender, and make a new part, will you ship it to everyone who bought this case as a recall part? I’ve received another extender but issue didn’t get fix in part…
When we done production of the new SD expansion boards, if any users are experiencing issues with their previous SD expansion boards, we will send them the newly manufactured boards.
We will record the email information of users who report this issue and notify them when the replacements are ready to be sent.
Thank you for the update. My SD extender replacement is on the way, and I’m concerned that the issue might recur. I’ll test the new one once it arrives and provide an update.
Okay, if you receive the SD expansion board and still encounter issues with SD card recognition in a short time, we will record your information. Once we done the new SD expansion boards, we will send you a replacement.
I bought 2 units and BOTH SD expansion board failed just like everyone else mentioned above. Can you please send me replacement for both units ASAP?

Hi,
I wanted to check in regarding the replacement SD Extender that was sent to Singapore. It’s been about three weeks, and I still haven’t received it. I need it to set up my Pi5 with the case.
Just for reference, the original purchase only took a week to arrive.
Thanks for your help!
Mine got Friday at the Customs and that means it should be Tuesday or Wednesday in so I expect yours will be in soon as well.
Have they finally made a new fixed part?
I will let you know later this week
Well…… that is a disappointing to say the least.
On the left side the original SD Exender v10. On the right side the new version 11. Nothing changed visually. Also not my suggestion to move the mounting holes so the extender can sit deeper in the Pi as you can see I enlarged them on the left side to do just that.
Anyway, I mounted the new version and I booted form my SSD. From this installation I used the Pi Imager to write a brand new image onto the SD Card using the Extender. It got written perfectly fine as well as Verifying it. So I was hopeful.
Allright. Boot time from the SD Card in the Extender.
I got the splash screen en a lot of blinking and…….
So much for v11 and the fact nothing changed.
Please note that I also tried booting form the SD Card again without the Extender and that is working perfectly fine.
I’m not sure how this get past QC though as everybody is having the exact same issue.
There goes almost 7 Euro’s on custom fees for nothing.
I hate to disappoint everyone in here waiting for their card but… well… yeah.
I’ll stick to a USB drive when I need to move files
Lucas, the V11 version of the SD expansion board is not our final upgraded version; it only increased in thickness. The final upgraded SD expansion board is the V12 version, which we are still waiting to go into mass production. The V12 version features both increased thickness and length.
Hi,
My SD card extender is still en route. It’s been over three weeks since it shipped to Singapore. Regular purchases usually arrive within a week, but I have no idea when this replacement will get here. As of September 7th, it still seems to be stuck somewhere
Based on what @Lucas mentioned, it seems there’s no hope for fixing version 11. I’m considering buying more cases for my student projects, but I might wait for the production version instead.
That is a bit of a shame support send me this v11 version then, knowing it is not going to solve anything and now I had to pay almost 7 Euro’s custom fee for a thing costing 2 cents and when v12 comes again a customs fee.
That is really unfortunate
sure,It was resent today.
The replacement SD expansion board has been tested and is functioning normally. Once you receive the replacement SD expansion board, please verify if it works correctly.
We have also had reports from other users who experienced issues with the replacement SD expansion board not recognizing the SD card, which is puzzling to us as well.
It’s possible that the height of the slots on each Pi 5 interface may vary, causing the SD expansion board not to make proper contact, but it’s hard to say for certain.
